Attack the Diagonal Seam Between Two Net Players
The Situation
Both opponents are at the net and well spaced, with no obvious gap to either side.
What To Do
Drive low through the diagonal seam between them, the middle channel, rather than risking the lines. Keep it low and firm so whoever takes it must volley up, and watch for the hesitation over who plays it.
Why It Works
The middle is the highest-percentage place to attack a net pair: the lines are guarded and risky, but the seam between two players is both physically open and psychologically contested. A low ball there forces an upward volley and frequently a moment of 'yours/mine' hesitation, especially against pairs with poor communication. You trade the spectacular winner for a ball that breaks down their net far more reliably than going for the edges.
Court Positioning
Two well-spaced net players. Low firm drive through the central diagonal seam between them, with a hesitation marker between the players; whoever reaches it is forced to volley up.
